Decentriq presented alongside Cisco on future perspectives of confidential computing and its potential in the financial services industry at the Confidential Computing workshop conducted by the AI Lab of the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center.
The workshop went through the basic principles of confidential computing and its implementations, showing some real-world applications and use-cases in the banking and insurance sectors.
The presentation focused on how confidential computing can lift the standards of security and trust around sensitive data and sensitive processes like internet routing, thanks to the properties of remote attestation and hardware-based encryption-in-use.
The presentation also explored how confidential computing enables new opportunities such as secure collaboration among banks to make anti-money laundering (AML) processes more time and cost-effective.
The identification of new opportunities is close to the heart of the Confidential Computing Consortium, of which Decentriq and Cisco are members, and whose main objectives and core values have been presented.
We would like to thank the AI Lab of Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center for the opportunity to present in front of an engaged audience of subject-matter experts, and Giuseppe and Eric of Cisco for the interesting presentation and fruitful discussion.
